Through interviews and a brunch-fueled roundtable discussion, a group of insightful, Atlanta-based women share their stories about being black, female, Muslim, and lesbian. They struggle with their relationship to their religion and their sexual identities. Most believed they were alone. Moreover, they believe Islam’s divisions between men and women is culturally influenced and is not part of their faith. This documentary not only unveils their experiences but unintentionally created a community for this rare demographic. These women refuse to be marginalized because of society’s perceptions of any of the important aspects of their lives.
